SCIENCE FAIR CHAMPION!

Cody was the big science fair winner this year!  He won his class and then overall.  Hurray for Cody!  This was Cody's first science project and was one of the easiest compared to any of Cameron's.   Only two more to go for Cody then we start on Sierra's for three years in a row and then Creeds for three more years in a row...eeek!  We will just enjoy Cody's glory and not worry about the rest for now.

Mini Olympics 2008

Horse Trough

Okay - I don't have photos or video...which is too bad for everyones entertainment.

I went out and caught my pony - he is literally a pony and brought him up to the gate.  As a crossed over a wash spot on the ground to open the gate - the pony, Casper, decided to come with me.  Only problem is no horse wants to stand in the wash (kind of a small ditch to look at) so he came all the way across.  He knocked right into me sending me falling backwards.  Good thing the horse trough was there to help me fall all the way down backwards.

The trough did not have much water in it but it had enough.  I fell in it and then it fell over dumping me and what water was in it on the hill side.

The good news is I never lost my hold on the lead rope of the pony.

Still catching up...

Cameron had his Jr. High district track meet on April 21, 2008.  He ran the 4 x 800, mile, 800 and the 4 x 400.  He ran a 5:57 in the mile which is his best time thus far.  He had never run the 400 before in a race and found the 4 x 400 really exciting and fun.  He liked it a bunch.

Cameron now has a road bike and is really starting to get into that...he will be competing in the kids Conway triathlon again this year along with Cody and Sierra - this will be Sierra's first year.
Cameron is also signed up for the BYU cross country camp in June which he is pretty excited about but is bummed that he will miss the dances.  He will not quite be 14 years old.  The camp is the end of June and his birthday is the first of August.  Kind of funny.
P.S. Cameron is wearing an Oark shirt - we ran with another small school so that we both could have enough runners to compete as a team.  For cross country the ran under the Jasper name.

MINI OLYMPICS 5/8/2008

Every year Jasper Elementary has the mini Olympics.  Last year was a bit stressful as I had three kids involved and competing - so I was all over the place.  This year is was much easier with just two.

Sierra's country was Japan.  She kept saying Mi How (sp) but I am pretty sure that is Chinese for hello - I do know it is NOT Japanese.   She competed in the Marathon (not really that long - more like 100 yard dash), buddy walkers, running long jump and the tug-a-war.

Cody's country was Canada.  He competed in dodgeball, sack race, bass masters and 100 meter yard dash.

Sierra was just happy go lucky the entire time regardless of how she did.  Cody was more of the glass is 1/2 empty depending on how he did.

Creed just played and ran around most of the time.  It was interesting keeping him where I could find him.  I always dress him in yellow or a bright color when we are going to be in a crowd where he just might leave my side.

I wanted to add video of it but it keeps having an error...  Maybe the video is just too long - so photos will have to do. :)

STARTING OVER!

Hey All-
Well I am going to try this again and see what happens.  I am starting over with a new address and a new out look on blogging...well the outlook might be the same but we will see what happens.  I plan on doing better!
Rumor has it I am the worse blogger of the family - okay - so I am.
