Dude Ranching

The neat thing about "dude ranching" is that we get to meet new people that sometimes turn out to be life long friends.  Sometimes it's guests and other times it's staff.  This year we meet Lea Nue.  She is from germany touring around until her student visa runs out.  She is a great girl and she feels like one of the family.  Also the Wales Family returned for the 4th year.  Our children have become friends and with the wonders of Facebook they are able to keep up with one another all year long.

March Track Meets

The track season has started but it doesn't feel like it.  Cody has had three meets cancelled.  Cameron doesn't have a lot to choose from.  Kind of a bummer but such is life at times.  

Cameron's 1st meet was held in Mountain Home on March 15th.  This meet was to see where he was at and just get out there and run.

March 17th Cody had his first meet.  This was a 7th grade only meet.  He was set to run the 400M which he did very well in.  With a time of 65 sec. he came in 3rd overall and won his heat.

Pepple Wrestle - Bouldering Competition

This year the 2nd annual Pebble Wrestle was held at the ranch.  Cody having the bug for climbing, as we all know, had to enter.  He and his friend Tres, tied for 1st place in their age division.  Rock, paper, scissors was the tie breaker and Cody won.

When I caught up with Cody and Tres, Cody was feeling a little out of sorts.  He later found his mojo and did really well. 

The band Speakeasy played at an after party where Creed got down and boogied the night away.

Peewee Basketball

Next year Sierra will be old enough to play on the peewee basketball team as she will be in the 5th grade. Is that possible?  Sierra in the 5th grade.  Oh dear.  Anyway, Barry and another father have started practice with all the boys and girls who will be playing peewee next year.

Barry is mainly in charge of the girls and Coach Emerson is in charge of the boys.

Cameron could hardly contain himself.  

The 2011 track season has started

It really does seem like we just finished up cross country.  We (I use the term we loosely because I am not on the team) are back at it practicing for track.
