New Adventure Course!

Here are a few photos of our new high adventure course (new Via Ferratta) that Scott Hoover designed before he went back to Utah.... the boys helped work on it one day.  Some of the photos you will want to enlarge to be able to really see what it is.

Running, did someone say running...AGAIN!

Yup, more running reports....The last x-country meet was held in Salem, AR which is about 2 hrs from Jasper.  When you live in such a small town in the middle of almost no where (our town is not in the middle of no where, I have been to those places) you have to drive to compete...

Cody has been doing a very good job running despite it is probably on his least favorite things to do.  He has a team and he is a great team mate and really helps out to rack up the points.  (There are points in x-country and track).  He improved on his time and ran almost 7 min flat miles for 1 1/2 miles.

Cameron set a new P.R. in his race (5K).  He ran an 18:30... his last 5K was a 19:10 or something like that.  Ernie his coach has very high hopes for him at state this year which is on Nov. 6th in Rogers, AR.

Funny little tid bits....

Creed: "This little piggy went to market, this little piggy went to the apple tree, this little piggy went home, this little piggy rode in a wagon and this little piggy wanted to be a the crash dummy for a dodge viper." 

Sierra (a note to Cameron): "Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bread today?"

Conversation- Amy: "Cody are you telling the truth?"  Cody, laughing: "Yes!" Amy:"Then why are you lauging?"  Cody, still laughing, "I always laugh when I am telling the truth (laughing) promise."

Creed:"I have green gas, okay?!"  

Cody: ‎"Who needs 3D movies when you can look at the clouds?"  

Me: "See how my one hand is fat from the wasp stinging me today?" Creed: "Yup, it's pretty fat right there." Me: "That's not the hand that got stung."

Cameron: "Just the fact that they are foreign makes them that more attractive."

Cody: "Mom, Creed wants to legally change his name to Rex." Me: "Creed why do you want to change your name to Rex?" Creed: "Because I am going to be a race car driver!" (I think someone has watched Speed Racer one too many times. :)
