A Baptism, Easter Party and an Anniversary in a day...

We left Arkansas at 4:30 a.m. April 22 and drove  3 1/2 hrs to Tulsa.  Jumped on a flight to Utah.  Stayed at my mom's house (Grandma Janet's).  Got up the next morning, did a little shopping.  Then we came home, ate some lunch and got ready for Creed's baptism.  Creed was baptized and confirmed (4/23/2011).  Went back to my mom's house, had an Easter egg hunt with a bunch of cousins and family.  Tried not to eat too much of the Easter spread that was out for all to enjoy.   Packed up our things. We then jumped into Michael's car (thanks Michael for loaning it to us!) and drove to the Tuscany restaurant, where we met up with Barry's family to celebrate Jerry & Martha Johnson's 50th wedding anniversary.  Ate a wonderful dinner, listened to memories of Grandma and Grandpa Johnson, watched a neat slide show of old photos of the Johnson clan and then headed to Leslie's house where we slept that night.  Next morning we had a late church so we visited for a while, had another Easter egg hunt that Bob prepared - scavenger hunt kind, many clues in each egg found (thanks Bob, that was a lot of fun for the kids).  Went to sacrament meeting, came back to Leslie's so we could eat dinner with Laura's family.  We then got a call from the airport saying our flight was late and we would miss our connecting flight to Tulsa unless we came in an hr earlier and took a different flight.  Hurried and ate dinner. Then off to Jennifer's house so she could drive us in Michael's car to the airport.  Once in Tulsa, oh now it is the 24th, we get to our motel around 12:30 a.m.  The next morning Cameron and I get up early (5:30 a.m.) and drive to Mt. Home, Arkansas (only a 4 hr drive, no biggie) to his high school district track meet.  Shweew!  It was the best shortest trip I have ever taken to Utah.  Full of events and family - what more could we ask for... except a few more days.

On our way to the baptism.

Jennifer and Scott Hoover even came to support Creed.

Lots and lots of family - awesome.

Eating but not eating because we had dinner plans with the Johnson family.

Onto the 50th wedding anniversary celebration.

The reason we were in Utah.

We enjoyed seeing you guys and Creed's baptism. A little quick, but good.
