This year has been a rough year for us as far as dogs go. First Kuma died suddenly to unknown causes. Then we made the hard decision to put Bishop down due to some hip problems that were getting worse - it is not fun taking your year old dog to the vet and dropping him off for the last time.
We are not short on dogs even with the loss of two. We have Chili the famous heeler of Horseshoe Canyon Ranch ask about any climber who she is and they will know, Puzz - Cody's dog (major mutt) from many years ago who also resides at the ranch and prefers the larger acres to ours at the house, Winnie the lab that has crazy gas and a forever limp and who is madly in love with Jason our climbing guide, Foxy the lab/aussie cross who managed to run under a car on the ranch and now has a very expensive leg she only uses 1/2 of the time, Ookii the not goat dog Anatolian Shepherd that likes to lay on our floor and hang out with climbers when she is not home and the three working goat dogs, Joe and Mischief who take care of the goats at the ranch and Puppy the Pyrenees that takes care of the goats that come and go at the ranch and one turkey who thinks he is a goat.
So when Rhonda said she took a free puppy from the back of a car in the Wal-mart parking lot and decided he could not stay, due to some chicken chasing we decided to take him.
Meet Marlin - an English Bulldog x Blue Heeler cross - He was an oops of course because who would cross those two breeds on purpose? We still aren't sure why we decided to offer to take him but we did and now he is ours! :)

Yup, you're going to have to watch yourself around Matt - he just may be after Martin. Love the name, btw.
Oops, Marlin...like that name too!
I will keep him locked up when Matt comes up again. What breeds is your mutt?
Did you really replace the picture of your kids at the top with a picture of your dog???!!! What kind of mom are you:) He's cute though (altho I'm still partial to my niece and nephews).
